We aim to make sure  affordable housing is occupied by households with a recognised housing need.

Social and affordable rented housing is usually managed by a registered provider, usually a housing association or the council.  Typically the developer will build all houses on the site and liaise with a registered provider before and throughout the construction and sell the completed affordable properties to the registered provider at a discounted price.  Sometimes a registered provider may build the affordable homes themselves.

In some cases, developers may consider passing the completed properties over to us to be added to our own rented housing stock.

Management of the properties built for other tenure types may be through a registered provider or may be marketed through the shared ownership scheme service.
