Thelma Hulbert Gallery (THG) is seeking makers who produce high quality, contemporary work, either one-offs or small scale production, to show in their annual Christmas selling exhibition of contemporary craft and design.

Professional and amateur South West makers are now invited to submit their work for Present Makers 2018 (10 November - 22 December 2018).

A leading event in the South West crafts calendar, Present Makers 2018 celebrates the talent of contemporary crafts people and designer-makers, who make the South West such a vibrant place to live.

The exhibition showcases work in a diverse range of materials including but not limited to: glass, metal, wood, paper, textiles, prints, ceramics, furniture and jewellery.

Over 1,500 visitors attend the annual selling exhibition in search of unique hand-made and locally-designed gifts and to support local makers and independent businesses from the South West.

Angela Blackwell, THG Curator said:

“We want to celebrate the excellence in making across the South West.

This is a great opportunity for both established and emerging South West makers to showcase their talents to a wide audience and to sell their work to buyers and collectors.”

The deadline for applications is Tuesday 18 September, 2018.
