It is now just a question of what you do first, as you can also now enjoy drinks while overlooking Exmouth's stunning seafront, following the reopening of the Queen's Drive Ocean Beach Shack.

LED Leisure is pleased to be easing out of lockdown and has been welcoming people back across East Devon.

As of Monday, 12 April, this is what is available for you to do at all LED Leisure centres: 

  • Gym
  • Public and lane swimming in Exmouth and Honiton
  • Swimming lessons
  • Outdoor group exercise classes
  • Outdoor tennis
  • LED @ Home via LED app

Ocean Exmouth

‘Ocean Beach Shack’ at Queen's Drive has now reopened for outdoor drinks and will be open every day from midday until 8pm (weather permitting). 

Ocean will remain closed until confirmation of step three restrictions out of lockdown in accordance with the government roadmap. For more information please visit: https://www.oceanexmouth.co.uk

Exmouth Pavilion:

The café at Exmouth Pavilion is also now offering takeaway drinks and snacks with some outside dining in the gardens.

Exmouth Pavilion plans to open indoors activities such as weekly dance and group exercise classes once the Government confirms step three of the roadmap out of lockdown. Hopefully meaning residents can return for indoor group exercise from May 17.

LED has planned a full programme of outdoor events in its gardens ahead over the summer. Shows will begin indoors again if step four of the roadmap is confirmed for the next phase of the lockdown lift on 21 June – which is when Robert Plant and his band, Saving Grace will be taking to the stage. Key dates for LED customers:

Each of these steps are subject to Government review and confirmation.

  • Step 3 (17 May earliest): Adult Indoor group sports and exercise classes, will be allowed to resume. Saunas and steam rooms within spas and indoor leisure facilities will also be able to reopen.
  • Step 4 (21 June earliest): By Step 4 which will take place no earlier than 21 June, the government hopes to be in a position to remove all legal limits on social contact.
