A notice of vacancy has been published for the Exe Valley ward at East Devon District Council following the resignation of Councillor Fabian King.

An election to fill the seat will be held if the Returning Officer receives a request in writing from two electors from within the district.

On receipt of the requests the Returning Officer will set a date for an election to be held within 35 days.
