News Rent a beach hut for the day, or week, at Budleigh Salterton

Seaside lovers can now rent one of the new beach huts for the day (or week if they fancy) at Budleigh Salterton.

The new ‘short-term hire’ beach huts have been commissioned and funded by East Devon District Council (EDDC) and include five large huts and seven small ones - were put up this week, replacing old structures that had come to the end of their natural life.

The general public will be able to make bookings through the Budleigh Information Centre from the 1 April until 23 October 2022.

The cost to rent the huts are as follows:
• Large huts – Weekly rate for 2022 season - £110.00
• Large huts – Daily rate for 2022 season - £35.00
• Small huts – Weekly rate for 2022 season - £100.00
• Small huts – Daily rate for 2022 season - £32.00

EDDC Budleigh and Raleigh ward Councillor Paul Jarvis said:

This can only be a step forward in sharing our wonderful resources. Both locals and visitors can both enjoy the use of the huts, giving them all a truly unique Budleigh experience.”

Councillor Tom Wright, who also represents the Budleigh and Raleigh ward, added:
