East Devon culture organisations and creatives will feature on a dedicated new website to encourage collaboration across culture sectors and local areas.

The new Arts and Culture East Devon (ACED) website will champion the work of East Devon-based culture and heritage organisations, performers, musicians, artists and creatives, helping them to collaborate and providing vital support through training and funding opportunities.

In line with East Devon's Cultural Strategy to strengthen, promote and grow arts and culture in East Devon, the website will provide much-needed resources, giving creatives everything they need to support and grow their practice or organisation.

The new ACED website features:

  • A new directory, a crucial tool enabling East Devon-based culture organisations and creatives to search for collaborators in their field or local area
  • A platform to share culture news, best practice and ambitions – aiding communication between arts practitioners and arts organisations
  • A resource hub for professional and artistic development through training and skills opportunities
  • An opportunities page to signpost key new funding opportunities, grants and artist calls

East Devon cultural organisations and individual creatives are encouraged to sign up to the ACED directory on the ACED website to access these new opportunities.

Councillor Paul Arnott, Leader of East Devon District Council said: 

"I am so excited to see the recent collaborative work between the council and East Devon’s wonderful creative community expressed in the new ACED website. Our burgeoning cultural scene is good for the soul but it also plays a key role in our economy. I’m sure the ACED network will encourage creatives to connect and collaborate in finding further funding and job opportunities, as well of course as making great art."

"The ACED network has gone from strength to strength since its creation in 2021 and now includes over 70 active members.
East Devon District Council is delighted to further support ACED and our rich and diverse cultural landscape through the launch of the new ACED website. The creative economy is so important and this marks a pivotal moment in terms of raising the profile of East Devon’s thriving cultural scene, enabling East Devon creatives to better collaborate through shared funding and training opportunities across the district."

The website is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and forms a key part of the East Devon Cultural Strategy led by Cultural Producer Sarah Elghady.
