Signpost with text: winter offer, park all day for £2, transferable between all EDDC car parks

From Wednesday, 1 November 2023 to the end of March 2024, you can park until midnight at East Devon District Council (EDDC) car parks* for just £2.

If you use the RingGo app on your mobile to pay when you park, enter the dedicated 'winter offer' location code ‘42973’. Alternatively, buy a paper ticket from one of our machines using either cash or card. Although your printed ticket may not display an expiry time of midnight, it will still be valid for the whole day.

With Christmas just around the corner, EDDC's winter car parking deal encourages people to shop local and support their High Street. Residents and visitors can enjoy a full day out this winter, exploring what East Devon has to offer, without having to rush back to their car. It is hoped that reduced car park charges will help to boost trade throughout the season, especially during the typically quieter months of January and February.

Councillor Paul Hayward, EDDC's portfolio holder for Finance and Assets, said:

"East Devon District Council already offers a wide range of parking options to suit all needs, and all budgets, for residents and visitors alike. However, we recognise that our local high streets are always keen to see shoppers stay that little bit longer to keep their tills ringing, and so I am delighted to bring back our Winter Parking offer - £2 all day, in any car park across the district. Remember, too, that you can pick up a parking permit online which can bring down the cost of daily parking further still. Now, there is no excuse not to shop local and make the most from your trip - without having to watch the clock!"

*Please note that Sideshore Car Park in Exmouth, Otter Estuary Nature Reserve in Budleigh Salterton, and Lyme Street in Axminster, are not included in the offer as they are managed by East Devon but are owned privately.
