At the East Devon District Council (EDDC) Annual Council meeting held on Wednesday 8 May, members re-elected Councillor Paul Arnott as Leader for the forthcoming council year.

Upon his re-election, Councillor Paul Arnott announced his new cabinet for the forthcoming municipal year.

Councillor Paul Hayward - Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder Economy and Assets
Councillor Geoff Jung - Portfolio Holder Coast, Country and Environment
Councillor Marianne Rixson - Portfolio Holder Climate Action
Councillor Sarah Jackson - Portfolio Holder Communications and Democracy
Councillor John Loudoun - Portfolio Holder Council and Corporate Co-ordination
Councillor Nick Hookway - Portfolio Holder Culture, Leisure, Sport and Tourism
Councillor Sam Hawkins - Portfolio Holder Finance
Councillor Todd Olive - Portfolio Holder Strategic Planning
Councillor Dan Ledger - Portfolio Holder Sustainable Homes and Communities

The following Assistant Portfolio Holders were appointed:
Councillor Paula Fernley and Councillor Charlotte Fitzgerald - Assistant Portfolio Holders Coast, Country and Environment
Councillor Richard Jefferies - Assistant Portfolio Holder Culture, Leisure, Sport and Tourism

At the Annual Council meeting, members elected:
Councillor Eleanor Rylance - Chair of the Council
Councillor Eileen Wragg - Vice Chair of the Council
