The Wild East Devon 2019/20 Winter Events Guide is now live and covers all of our events across the district from November 2019 to March 2020.
Some highlights in this year’s guide include new additions for this season: three conservation management walks around some of our more interesting nature reserves representing unique chances to learn about countryside conservation at Holyford Woods with James in November, at Trinity Hill with Jon in December, and at a World Wildlife Day walk around Knapp Copse with Will in March.
Our ever-popular Christmas events return with two Wreath Making sessions, a snowman trail and a reindeer winter crafts day at Seaton Wetlands, while for the first time the Wild Exmouth Project is represented with fantastic seasonal events such as a Tinsel Toddle walk from Phear Park in December.
Wild East Devon has got half term covered with Nest Box Building at Seaton and Exmouth during February Half Term, and our brilliant family-friendly ‘What’s That Bird?’ sessions continue at the wetlands throughout the season.
Our partners Thelma Hulbert Gallery, Windrush Willow and the Axe Estuary Ringing Group all have events in the guide this year, from making willow baskets to participating in natural art sessions to getting remarkably up-close with birds, this guide has something for everyone.
The guide is available in paper form from local tourist information centres, libraries, at our nature reserves and across the district.
