Celebrating the achievements of local disabled people
ABILITY 2017 is an exciting free event, which is taking place from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 16 July 2017 in Northernhay Gardens in the centre of Exeter, in celebration of the achievements of local Devon based disabled people.
Organised by Living Options Devon, the festival is the first event of its kind to be held in Devon and has been timed to coincide with Disability Awareness Day.
Designed to provide an opportunity for disabled people and their families to find out about a wide range of events, the festival aims to be a fun, free day out for everyone.
As well as lots of stalls run by disability charities, there will be a large marquee where the main programme of events, food stalls, crafts and activities will be held.
The organisers are hoping to attract as many people as possible, both from Exeter, as well as from across Devon. There is no charge for stallholders, as Living Options Devon, who are keen to be as inclusive as possible, have secured a mixture of BLF funding and sponsorship to cover their costs.
