7. CIL Charging Schedule revision - Examination

The Examiner
The Community Infrastructure Levy Draft Charging Schedule was submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for examination on 29 October 2019.  Mr Jameson Bridgwater PGDIPL MRTPI has been appointed to conduct an Examination of the Charging Schedule to assess whether it meets the requirements of the Planning Act 2008 and relevant CIL Regulations, as amended, in respect of legal compliance and viability.

The Examiner has completed his report on the Examination of the CIL Draft Charging Schedule.  This will now be considered by the council at a future meeting before the revised CIL charges can be introduced.  Please contact us at if you would like us to post you a hard copy of the Examiner's Report.

The Examination Process

The CIL Hearing
A Hearing took place on Tuesday 18 February 2020 within the Axe and Tale Rooms at East Devon District Council, Blackdown House, Border Road, Heathpark Industrial Estate, Honiton, EX14 1EJ. 

A Programme for the Hearing has been produced by the Examiner.
