Information Affordable Housing

The East Devon Local Plan promotes the delivery of new affordable housing in the district, through policies relating to affordable housing targets (Strategy 34) and exceptions sites (Strategy 35).
We have adopted an Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). The SPD explains when and how affordable housing will be secured from new development to deliver sustainable communities in East Devon. The SPD is accompanied by an adoption statement and consultation statement.
Public consultation on the Affordable Housing SPD
We carried out two rounds of public consultation (in March 2019 and January 2020) when preparing the Affordable Housing SPD – the relevant documents and consultation responses can be seen below:
