3. Gypsy and Traveller Site Location (Development Plan Document)
We propose to produce a Development Plan Document which will allocate sites for Gypsies and Travellers in East Devon. Considerable research and consultation was undertaken to inform the initial production of the DPD but, despite several calls for sites and direct approaches to potential landowners, very few potential sites were put forward for consideration so the focus of work has moved whilst further sites are sought.
We will continue to invite landowners to submit their sites for consideration and will actively work with Gypsies and Travellers who wish to expand or intensify the use of their existing sites.
