If a property is not officially registered with us or Royal Mail is may not appear in address databases. Please use this form to register an occupied property not yet registered with Royal Mail, or for any other related enquiry.
The Local Authority is responsible for the naming and numbering of properties, the allocation and maintenance of Postcodes is the responsibility of Royal Mail. If a property has not been officially registered it may not appear on address databases.
All addresses must comply with our Street Naming and Numbering policy. We will liaise with Royal Mail to set up a new registered postal address.

There is no charge for this service. You will need the approximate address details of the property you wish to officially register and must provide a location plan.
When your enquiry is received we will liaise with Royal Mail to set up the property address. Once Royal Mail confirms the address has been added to PAF (Postal Address File), the address details will be forwarded to all internal departments and Land Registry.
