3. How feedback has shaped the updated designs and your opportunity to share final comments

Introduction

Over the last 12 months East Devon District Council have been working with an appointed team of Project Managers and Designers to develop plans for a Leisure & Wellbeing Centre in Cranbrook Town Centre.

This began with an initial feasibility study to understand the site, design options and any limitations, providing the team with a preferred concept to begin designing towards.

The initial concept was shared during the first public survey held in February 2026. Since then, the design has continued to evolve, and the project is fast approach a planning submission.

Updated designs and your opportunity to share final comments

It was important to share the feedback from the previous public survey and provide a selection of updated plans and images of what the centre will potentially look like, whilst gathering any final feedback from users.

The survey ended on the 18 of June at 5pm, the responses are now being analysed and will form part of the Statement of Community Involvement and taken into account as part of the planning application submission.
