East Devon District Council appreciates the help that is received from volunteer litter picking groups, whether this is a beach clean or a general litter pick within the community. EDDC is happy to support local volunteers by providing equipment and arranging the disposal of any litter collected. Please be aware that for EDDC to support such an event, it must take place on public land such as a beach or green space. It is the responsibility of the landowner to clear private land. For your safety, we do not support litter picks in potentially dangerous areas, such as busy roads.

There are six beaches managed by EDDC which are, Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Jacobs Ladder, Sidmouth, Seaton and Beer. The District Council covers the area from Exmouth to Honiton including Sidmouth, Beer, Seaton, Axminster, Ottery St Mary and Cranbrook.
