The ‘Routes for Roots’ project in the Clyst Valley Regional Park is all about getting out there into the East Devon countryside of the Clyst Valley, to explore its nature, history and folklore. Join us on an adventure!

Don't forget your raincoat, sun cream, water, delicious snack treats and sensible footwear ... it can be really muddy in places.

3. Pinhoe to Broadclyst

Try this lovely self-guided 5 mile (8km) walk from Pinhoe on the outskirts of Exeter to Broadclyst via Poltimore. One steep hill with some fine views over the Clyst Valley.  With notes on nature, history and archaeology. Return by bus from Broadclyst or walk 5 miles back.  

Get your boots on, it can be muddy!
