  • July 2024
    • Two emerging neighbourhood plans (Bishops Clyst (Clyst St Mary and Sowton) (First Review) and Woodbury) are now at Pre-Submission consultation. 
    • A new Neighbourhood Area has been designated for the parish of Plymtree
    • A modification has been agreed to the 'made' Colyton Neighbourhood Plan, renaming it as the Colyton and Colyford Neighbourhood Plan
  • June 2024
    • The government has renewed its neighbourhood planning grant funding for a seventh year.  More information and how to apply on the Locality website.

  • April 2024
    • We have appointed Ann Skippers to examine the Clyst Honiton neighbourhood plan.
    • We have received an application from Plymtree Parish Council for the whole of the parish of Plymtree to be designated as a new Neighbourhood Area.  
  • February 2024:
    • We launched the consultation on the Regulation 16 Submission Version of the Clyst Honiton Neighbourhood Plan.  This closed in April.  Details can be found by visiting the Clyst Honiton Neighbourhood Plan information
  • November / December 2023:
    • As part of the on-going preparation of a new Local Plan for East Devon, the Planning Policy team surveyed all Town and Parish Councils regarding neighbourhood planning activity and intentions.  The survey closed 15th December 2023.  The results will be made publicly available in due course.  They are already being used to inform the emerging new Local Plan.
    • The latest area to be designated as a Neighbourhood Area is West Hill.  Following consultation, the application for designation was approved on 6 December 2023.
