The East Devon Villages Plan, together with the Local Plan and any ‘made’ neighbourhood plans, form the ‘Development Plan’ for East Devon, which guides decisions on development and land use in East Devon. The Villages Plan defines ‘Built-up Area Boundaries’ around the settlements of Beer; Broadclyst, Clyst St. Mary, Colyton, East Budleigh, Feniton, Kilmington, Musbury, Newton Poppleford, Sidbury, Uplyme, West Hill, Whimple and Woodbury (but please note that these could be superseded by a subsequent neighbourhood plan). The Villages Plan also defines vitality and shopping areas for Beer and Colyton and includes a plan of the extent of authorised uses at the Hill Barton and Greendale Business Parks.
