Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.
Issues with pages
Some pages have duplicate titles. This may make it difficult for users to orient themselves and find the right content.
This fails WCAG 2.4.2 success criterion (Page Titled)
We aim to get the above issues fixed by January 2022.
Issues with images
Some images don't yet have a text alternative (alt text): so the information in them isn't available to people using a screen reader.
This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content).
We are working to add alt text to all images as soon as possible. When we publish new content we'll make sure any images we use meet accessibility standards.
Some images contain text: so people with dyslexia or those using a screen reader will not be able to read the information.
This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.5 (Images of Text).
We plan to review where these images are used and reduce their use as much as possible. Where they remain we will ensure any text in the image is given in the alt text.
We aim to get the above issues fixed by April 2022.
Issues with PDFs and other documents
Some of our PDFs and Word documents don't meet accessibility standards - for example, they may not be structured so they're accessible to a screen reader.
This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value).
Some documents do not display a title in the internet browser. This may make it difficult for users to orient themselves and find the right content.
This fails WCAG 2.4.2 success criterion (Page Titled)
Some of our documents are essential to providing our services. For example, we have PDFs with information on how people can access our services and forms published as Word or PDF documents.
We aim to get the above issue fixed by April 2022.
Issues with video files
Videos we have created and sited on YouTube since 23rd September 2018 may not have adequate captions. We are currently focusing our efforts on fixing the most widely used first and will fix the remaining ones as soon as possible.

Some of our form fields do not have text labels defined.
This fails WCAG success criterion 3.3.2 (Labels or instructions)
Some of our form fields do not use the 'autocomplete' attribute where it would be helpful to do so.

We are working hard to fix issues with forms and will update this page as soon as possible.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services. Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.

Live video
We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
