6. Sidmouth
There are 24 beach huts available on a seasonal basis from 1 April to 31 October. These are located at the bottom of the slope below Connaught Gardens in an area called Jacobs Ladder.
These huts are let on a three year rota. Once you are allocated a hut it will be available for your use every third year. Many people form syndicates and share the hut.
There is no electricity here and water is supplied via a communal tap.
Once you have placed your name on the waiting list you may still have to wait approximately 4 - 6 years.

2024 season
This year the huts will be available from 1st April until 25th October. Do not use the hut before this date.
Do not put down floor coverings in the hut as this traps moisture in the floor.
The lease document is available at the office and will be given to you with the keys. There is a returnable cash deposit of £20.00 for your key which are to be collected from, and must be returned to, Manstone Depot Office, Tully Gardens, Sidmouth, EX10 9TE in person.
When collecting and returning keys please make appointment as the office is not manned full time.
Return dates 1st to 8th November 2024
Please let us know in writing (email is fine) if someone is collecting the key on your behalf. We will not issue keys or deposits otherwise.
Please report to reception on arrival. Be aware – this is a working depot so please keep to marked paths.
