InformationCommercial Property
One of the key challenges for businesses in East Devon is the lack of available industrial and logistics premises in the district.
To help address this challenge and to improve the marketing of vacant and available business premises, we have drawn together information from different sources to help businesses find the workspace they need.
Log your commercial property requirements with us
The council's Economic Development team are frequently notified of new commercial land and industrial units/workshops coming forward before they are actively marketed.
By completing our online form, we can act as 'match-maker' between businesses and developers. Whether you are desperate for space now, or have growth plans over the next few years, we may be able to support your future needs.
The form takes around five to ten minutes to complete.
Developers, landowners and agents looking looking to bring forward commercial workspace can contact the Economic Development team at business@eastdevon.gov.uk
Commercial property quarterly updates
The council publishes quarterly commercial property updates on industrial and logistics workspace using data from CoStar. The first report was published for Q1 of 2026.
The reports include a list of available commercial premises marketed by agents, along with a general update on the state of the commercial property market in East Devon.
Property for sale or to let by EDDC
Our Place, Assets and Commercialisation team regularly publishes information about properties owned by East Devon District Council that are available to buy or lease. It also advertises any available commercial development opportunities, and markets available workshop units and office space.
