6. How and when to apply

The next, and final, deadline for applications is 5pm on 15 February 2023. All applications will be considered after that point. There will be a decision making meeting in mid-March 2023, and you will be told whether your application has been successful or not shortly after that. For your project to be eligible for a grant from us, your project must not have started before we receive a signed grant offer letter back from you. This means your project must not start until at least early April 2023.

This grants scheme is competitive, with all applications being considered at the same time alongside each other at the decision making meeting in mid-March. Make sure you have read the guidance in full, clearly stated which parts of the Poverty Action Plan it works towards, and that you fill in your application with as much information as you feel is necessary for us to fully understand and appreciate your proposal.

To apply:

You will need to send evidence of costs / quotations for your project. You can send these, and any other details about your idea/initiative to go along with your application e.g. pictures, photos, video and audio:

  • By email to engagement@eastdevon.gov.uk
  • By post to Community Engagement and Funding, East Devon District Council, Blackdown House, Border Road, Heathpark Industrial Estate, Honiton, EX14 1EJ.

Please clearly state which application they go with.

Although we will pay the grants upfront, we do require copies of invoices / receipts for the whole project / activity to be sent to us as soon as possible. If they are not sent then we will require the grant to be returned to us.

If you would like to discuss your application or have any further questions about the grant scheme, please email engagement@eastdevon.gov.uk or call 01395 517569.
