When you apply for a transfer of a premises licence the existing licence holder must, at the same time, give their consent to the transfer.
How to give consent
The existing licence holder can give their consent online.
Any personal information which you provide will be held and used by East Devon District Council for the purpose of the licensing service to process the application for the transfer of a premises licence. Your information may also be shared within East Devon District Council for the purposes of carrying out our lawful functions. Otherwise your personal information will not be disclosed to anybody outside East Devon District Council without your permission, unless there is a lawful reason to do so, for example disclosure is necessary for crime prevention or detection purposes. Your information will be held securely and will not be retained for any longer than is necessary. There are a number of rights available to you in relation to our use of your personal information, depending on the reason for processing. The existing licence holder will need to complete the online consent form.
The consent form will be dealt with as part of the application to transfer the premises licence.
If you give your consent then we'll accept this as your authority to transfer the premises licence to the new applicant.
If you would prefer you can fill in a paper version of the consent form and send it to us in the post or bring it into our office.
