5. Evidence of costs
As part of your application, you must send us evidence of what your total project costs will be. This is for the total cost of your project, and not based on the amount you are applying for from us.
Depending on what your project is, your evidence of costs could be for example:
- If you are buying items / equipment / training, then print outs / screenshots of websites where you will purchase the items, detailing quality and cost.
- If an organisation is providing you with a service, then quotations from that organisation showing how much the work will cost to carry out.
- If you are employing staff, then details showing how that cost has been calculated including rate per hour plus tax plus any other costs associated with staffing.
Every application needs to include evidence of costs:
- If the total cost of the project / activity is under £5,000 you must evidence all of your costs at least once.
- If the total cost of the project / activity is over £5,000 but less than £100,000 you must send a minimum of three separate quotations / evidence for each of the costs, or detail why this is not possible e.g. only one supplier that can do the project, staffing costs are standard.
- If your project / activity costs are over £100,000 you must send a minimum of five different written quotations / evidence for each of the costs, or detail why this isn't possible.
You can send these, and any other details about your idea/initiative to go along with your application e.g. pictures, photos, video and audio:
- By email to engagement@eastdevon.gov.uk
- By post to Jamie Buckley, Community Engagement and Funding, East Devon District Council, Blackdown House, Border Road, Heathpark Industrial Estate, Honiton, EX14 1EJ.
