Service Apply to surrender your club premises certificate
Overview
You can surrender your club premises certificate at any time if you no longer want to use the premises for any of the licensable activities authorised.
How to surrender
You'll need to send us an email telling us that you want to surrender the certificate. Please include the name of the premises and the club premises certificate number.
You'll need to tell us the date on which you want to surrender the certificate
Please return your club premises certificate to us in the post or give an explanation as to why it cannot be returned.
Restrictions
The club secretary (on behalf of the club premises certificate holder) or their agent will need to complete the form.
Data Protection
Any personal information which you provide will be held and used by East Devon District Council for the purpose of the licensing service to process your notification of surrender of a club premises certificate. Your information may also be shared within East Devon District Council for the purposes of carrying out our lawful functions. Otherwise your personal information will not be disclosed to anybody outside East Devon District Council without your permission, unless there is a lawful reason to do so, for example disclosure is necessary for crime prevention or detection purposes. Your information will be held securely and will not be retained for any longer than is necessary. There are a number of rights available to you in relation to our use of your personal information, depending on the reason for processing. You'll need to return your existing club premises certificate to us.
We'll let you know that we've received your notice of surrender.
You'll no longer be authorised to use the premises for any licensable activities (unless you apply for a temporary event notice) from the date you have given.
