11. Seaton

Seaton is situated at the heart of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. The town offers several outstanding attractions including our brand new Jurassic themed Play Park; Seaton Tramway, and Seaton Jurassic our newest attraction and Devon Wildlife Trust’s first flagship visitor centre.

Seaton is home to a variety of entertainments including artisan craft markets, an annual illuminated carnival and regular arts events such as Art@Jubilee.

Seafield Gardens

Offering a picturesque backdrop of the sea and beach, Seafield Gardens is one of Seaton’s undiscovered gems. Seafield’s main attraction is a classic amphitheatre style area, offering open access perfect for small drama productions or music performances particularly in the summer months.  

Divided into various sections, Leisure East Devon (LED) run the main part of the gardens with the Jurassic Golf and tennis court, there is also a bowls club that is run by the members. 

Parking is restricted to the main car park and on street parking with toilets situated on the seafront just a few minutes away.

Thury Harcourt Place

Thury Harcourt Place offers a large paved area with seating at the end of the busy Harbour Road area, with the Seaton Tramway station and the new Seaton Jurassic attractions right next door, There are public toilets on site and and electric hook up is available.

Used for markets and community events, this area has a high footfall being on the main walkway from the town centre to the Tesco’s store and the new development beyond. Pay and Display parking is a couple of minutes walk away along Harbour Road.
