21. Fire Safety
Allocations will not be made to accommodation above ground level where the applicant is unable to self-evacuate in the event of a fire or other emergency.
Allocations officers will provide re-housing advice to tenants who live in properties above ground floor who can no longer self-evacuate in the event of a fire and wish to move to ground floor accommodation. A higher banding will be awarded in these cases.
