12. Clyst St George (made)

Adoption

A report was taken to Cabinet on the 2 January 2019 recommending that the Clyst St George Neighbourhood Plan be 'made' so that it forms part of the Development Plan for East Devon.  The date of 'making' the Plan is 10 January 2019. This is following the successful referendum on 8 November 2018 where 93.02% of residents who voted were in favour of adopting the Plan.

The Adopted Version of the Clyst St George Neighbourhood Plan is available to view.  The Neighbourhood Plan should be read in conjunction with the Clyst St George Design Statement which is referred to within the Plan.

Referendum

The Clyst St George Neighbourhood Plan referendum was undertaken on the 8 November 2018 where voters were asked the question:

"Do you want East Devon District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Clyst St George to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"

The results are as follows:

Number cast in favour of a 'YES'

Number cast in favour of a 'NO'

Turnout: 25.78%

Examination

Jill Kingaby has now completed the examination of the Clyst St George Neighbourhood Plan (which commenced on 14 May 2018). The Examiner's Final Report is available to view. 

Following an initial assessment, the Examiner has produced a procedural matters letter. The Examiner's procedural matters letter is now available to view.

Clyst St George Submission of Plan to Local Authority - Regulation 16

Clyst St George Parish Council as the qualifying body prepared and submitted the Clyst St George Neighbourhood Development Plan to East Devon District Council.  The plan consultation period ended on 4 May 2018.

Neighbourhood Area Designation

Clyst St George Parish Council requested that their entire parish be designated a neighbourhood area. The designation was approved on 11 March 2015.
