18. I’m a student, can I claim benefit?
Generally students are not entitled to receive Housing Benefit although there are exceptions. For more information please call our Benefits team on 01395 571770 or email benefits@eastdevon.gov.uk
Most students will be disregarded for Council Tax purposes and you will need to provide a student exemption certification from the educational institution.
