5. What if I don't receive my Housing Benefit payment?

BACS payments are the most secure method of payment. The number of days it takes a BACS payment to arrive in your account will depend on your bank. 

If you think a payment is missing:

  • Check with your bank first - they may have received the payment but the funds have not yet cleared.  
  • If your bank has not received the payment please contact us. 
  • If the payment has been issued, you need to allow a further 2-3 working days for the payment to clear
