20. Feniton (made)
Adoption
On the 11 July 2018, Cabinet resolved to ‘make’ the Feniton Neighbourhood Plan so that it forms part of the Development Plan for East Devon alongside the adopted East Devon Local Plan 2013-2031, and the Devon Minerals and Waste Plan. The date of 'making' the Plan is 19 July 2018. This was following the successful referendum on 17 May 2018, where 93.71% of residents who voted were in favour of adopting the Plan.

Referendum
The Feniton Neighbourhood Plan referendum was undertaken on the 17 May 2018 where voters were asked the question:
"Do you want East Devon District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Feniton to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
The results are as follows:

Number cast in favour of a 'NO'

Turnout: 32.05%

Examination
Jill Kingaby was appointed to examine the Feniton Neighbourhood Plan. The process commenced on the 12 December 2017. The examiner's report is now available.

Feniton Submission of Plan to Local Authority - Regulation 16
Feniton Parish Council as the qualifying body prepared and submitted the Feniton Neighbourhood Development Plan to East Devon District Council. The plan consultation ended on Friday 8 December 2017.

Neighbourhood Area Designation
Feniton Parish Council requested that all of their parish be designated a neighbourhood area. The area was designated on 3 September 2014.
