31. Payhembury (made)
Adoption
On the 5 June 2019, Cabinet resolved to ‘make’ the Payhembury Neighbourhood Plan so that it forms part of the Development Plan for East Devon alongside any other made neighbourhood plans, the adopted East Devon Local Plan 2013-2031, and the Devon Minerals and Waste Plan. The date of 'making' the Plan is 13 June 2019. This was following the successful referendum on 2 May 2019, where 82% of residents who voted were in favour of adopting the Plan.

Referendum
A neighbourhood planning referendum was held for the Payhembury Neighbourhood Development Plan on 2 May 2019. More than half of those who voted were in favour of the neighbourhood plan. The question in the referendum was:
"Do you want East Devon District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Payhembury to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
The results are as follows:

Neighbourhood Area Designation
Payhembury Parish Council requested that the whole of their parish be designated a Neighbourhood Area. The designation was approved on the 31 March 2016.
